Love for the view , great park , but i dont know it's free or not . some people just go ahead (they also a lot of tourist) but me when try to go through , stopped by a man in the counter . fuuuh ..so i just enjoy the outside area. it's hard to take photo at the jumharee maidan near to the sultan park . since so many tour guides offered their service but sometimes force us. feels not comfort .

You can definitely skip this park, if you consider the entrance fee of 5 USD... It's not money for value. But if you would like to take a walk in the park... Then you can visit it. It's not much to see inside.

Beautiful looking place but most tourists not welcome. Although they have a fee to get in the price not visible anywhere. Grounds Keeper kicks you out if you didn't pay but didn't exactly tell you how much it is.
I entered and nobody told me anything until grounds guy came to move me on.
Sad for such a lovely place.

The place is newly built and its a very ideal place to visit with you love once and kids, While walk around Male it would be the only area where you can relax for a while, make sure there are small fees for entrance

This park has several kids' playgrounds and it's free of charge for Maldivians and children under 18. If you are foreigner, the entrance fee is around $5 USD. It has enough trees and shades to hide from the sun and enjoy the weather under Plumeria trees. Kids of course enjoyed it.

This review is quite late. While I was walking around Male City with the hotel staff as my guide we passed by a small green space near the mosque and I learned that was the Sultan Park. It was littered with garbage and the grounds were not inviting at all.

When I enter the park, there was no staff told me to buy tickets. Shortly afterwards, a guard approached me and asked me to buy ticket and did not let me leave. I just read the reviews in google, and find that I was not the only one being scammed. It’s crazy that the Maldives government let such thing happen in a public park.
