Fantastic place to visit. Great tourist station. Tons a fish, great smell :) and unique experience. From the main harbor it is 15 mins walk.

we saw a lot of big fishes in the market and they are very fresh. local citizens fished every single fish by themselves and sell them to local restarants.

Very very nice people. Tried a lot of new fish. Yellow one is the best. Tuna also is nice and you can try before buy. Also some gifts from salespersons.

I have visited several fish markets around the globe but this one is the smallest. One needs to go here early if one wants to catch the hype else there is no idea. The visit of the smoked fish is not for all the public. But it's a real look of the local culture. Use local money if you want to buy

A few speacial features made me Male fishmarket really interesting. - First time that I saw tuna fish in one piece - as opposed to bits. It's shape is simply beautiful. A unique thing also that you can see them already in the fishing boats! (see pictures) - The other unusual thing was probably baitfish. Looks like magnetized pieces revolving... More
