The seat of the Maldivian president is located in the middle of the Malé canyon. The area is unfortunately not open to the public and the building is covered by a high wall except for the roof. But you can get an idea of it thanks to the colorful image on the entrance gate. It seems refreshingly simple for a presidential palace, yet welcoming.

We were shown the Presidential Palace whilst on our walking tour of Male. It is located about half way between the jetty and the fish markets. The first thing that grabs you are the high walls and all the security cameras. Fortunately, there is a spot where you can photograph the quaint little Presidential Palace. The gardens are really lovely and well maintained and well worth a look at. It is only unfortunate that you can't go inside.

This is president's residence & is just opposite to the Presidential Jetty terminal # 1....
This building is situated between fish market & main ferry terminal/eatery joints/hotels...
It is said that when some neighboring country rebels attacked Maldives few years back, they landed on this terminal only.
Now, this building is the most guarded building in Male with Ivory white paint & guards in whole uniform staring at you since one is taking the building pics... :) :0 enjoy Male!!

Mulee Aage is the official residence of the President of the Maldives. It's quite pretty but can only be seen from outside with the closed fence. Worst thing is now there is a tall building being constructed just right behind this residence. The building is fully covered by black material so it totally spoils the view and the beauty of this place.

Muleeaage was built as the palace for the local sultan in the early 20th century. It has had somewhat of a checkered past being used a general government offices, the actual residence of the president for 40 years up to 1994 then again after 2009. The imposing wall that circles the property takes away most of the views of the main building but there is a nice photo spot by the front gates across from the 1988 martyrs memorial.

For me it was very interesting experience to see the House of the Maldivian President. It is not allowed to go inside, of course. But it's still a nice sight from outside.

Like everything in Male, this is at a walking distance from the pier. Housing the sitting President of Maldives, this attraction is just across the road from the traditional Mosque.

Mulee Aage is kept as it is from outside, Mulee'aage is the "Official Residence of the President of the Maldives", There's nothing to see much, you can always see outside the building. so if you visit Male' the capital of the Maldives, ask your tour guide to show you this place and keep a memory

The view is very nice from outside of this presidential palace. You are allowed to take picture of this. You are not allowed to take any pictures of military buildings as tour guide advised us about this.
