Of the 3 days I spent in KL there was not a single day that I did not visit the KL Central Station. The place is always abuzz with crowd. There's a huge mall attached to it and lovely food joints all over.
This is a place where many means of transportation come together - Light Rail Transport (LRT), KTM Komuter.(for inter-city travel), KLIA Express(express train to the airport), KLIA Transit (train to the airport with stops on the way including Putrajaya, the adminsitrative capital) and the Monorail...More
KL sentral station is located at the heart of the city from where you can catch commuter, metro and also the KLIA Express to airport. staff are helpful and guide to the right train. Information boards are there to guide you too.

One can take a taxi (for one day visit on a contract RM250 to 300). This is good for a group of 3 or 4. If you are solo take a Genting Express bus from the ground level rear side of KL sentral. It costs less than RM5 one way. Cable car facility has to be used to g60o up the hill from the bus station at Genting. Week ends and holidays will be crowded and expensive on taxies. Of course, there are daily tour operators (from RM60 to 100). You will be picked up and drop from and at your hotel.
