You can find Indian restaruants in abundance here. There is a shop called Hanifa where you get almost every product you can name! But beware of the enormous crowd and sweltering heat!

My hotel was near the masjid area and we checked it out on our leisure day. It gets pretty crowded and is difficult to naviagte. Small shops offer a lot if one is in shopping mood but bargaining skills are required

Some open by 7am, but mostly from 9am till about 8pm, although some close by 6pm.
