Traffic on this long road winding besides Petronas Towers is usually heavy and crossing difficult. Go KL Green line operates here connecting to Bukit Nanas Monorail. The area has a concentration of upmarket hotels and high rise residences. Todays Star newspaper stated, that there will be no new skyscrapers in KL in five years if this governement lasts.

The area around KLCC park is full of construction sites so the new skyscrapers will soon block Petronas Towers from view. I have been staying at Perdana with balconies and a large swimmingpool twice next to the amazing Luth-building, constructing yet another metroline at the corner of the park has been going on for years. Be extra carefull when walking in front of the Malaysia Tourism headquarters as motobikes drive like crazy on the pavement reserved for bicycles and pedestrians.

Used to be the main bullock cart track between the civilisation located in current Lebuh Ampang and Central Market and the tin mining camps of Ampang in the foothill of the Main Range circa 200 years ago.

Now the mud track is replaced by dual 3 lane asphalt road and bullock carts with internal combustion vehicles and the importance of Jalan Ampang no longer hinges on the tin trade but on business, shopping and tourism.

The road fronts the world famous Twin Towers as well as other high end hotels, luxury condominiums and Class A offices.

2 LRT stations - KLCC and Ampang Park serve the Jalan Ampang.

There are over 100 graffiti along the both side of the river. The location is right behind Damai and Dato Keramat LRT Station.

The Jalan Ampang is in a central location where there are many attractions for tourists to enjoy. The KLCC/Twin Tower, many star hotels to chose from as far as raters and , convenience for shopping and so forth. Tourist also can use bus & KTM Commutator train services besides the normal taxis. The traffic is always very heavy and one should be very careful crossing the roads. Tourists really enjoy these facilities along the Jalan Ampang.
