The best area to be in KL, the streets colorfully lit up with live bands performing beside the road, I'd recommend Bukit Bintang for folk who like the city and its night life, however for families visiting this, I'd highly recommend you try the street food corner!

Bukit Binatang is right in the heart of KL and offers everything from shopping in some of the biggest malls in the world to eating in the tiniest food stall just blocks away. It's really buzzing at night, as there are many bars and restaurants around the area. Lots of lights, lots of people and a little construction! Really nice... More

Buki Bintang is a place of extremes, from large shopping centres to hawker stalls, night markets and lots of smaller shops and restaurants/bars. Busy and Bustling during the day, it really comes to life at night and is heaving. Crossing Road can be difficult but fun. Lots of places offering massages. Unfortunately there has been ongoing (over a year now)... More

Bustling Bukit goes from one extreme to the other, Malls with designer shops, Hawker stalls, lots of restaurants and bars and then you come across rough sleepers. Gets very busy in the evenings when it comes to life and you take your life in your hands when crossing roads, but it is such great fun

I stayed 2 nights in KL and every night I visited Bukit Bintang. There are so many restaurants both side the road which serve cheap and tasty food. If you are in KL you should give it a try.

We headed down to Bukit Bintang for food on many occasion and have never been disappointed, The street food was so tasty. The amount of building work in the area has detracted from the enjoyment of my 1st visit and hope by next time I visit it will be complete. There were a few occasions of knowing where we wanted... This is my 5th visit to KL and I love shopping in BB (e.g. at Sungei Wang Plaza, Lowyat, BTSKL, etc) and in KL in general. But, at the risk of sounding a little controversial I want to point out something that I've noted from my first visit and reaffirmed on each visit: A sizable portion of local Malaysians do... More
