Beautiful monument that brings tears to your eyes. It is an immense bronze statue which was built as a memorial to the soldiers who gave up their lives for their country. There are seven soldiers holding the Malaysian flag, each symbolizing one of the seven qualities of unity, strength, leadership, sacrifice, courage, suffering and vigilance.

It was a bit of hike to reach the monument but we made it. I enjoy seeing historical places and this brought to life something I've only ever seen on telly.

Every Malaysian should visit the monument at least once in their lifetime. The monument stands regal in a beautiful backdrop. There is a sense of solemness in this place being mindful of its significance. The sacrifices made by our forefathers to defend the people and the country. The weather tends to be hot and as such do come in the... More

Tranquil setting and great tribute to the many fallen soldiers. It is very well designed and a lovely place to contemplate away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A very nice depiction of history. From National Emblem of Malaysia to the names of 1st world war and 2nd world war martyrs names and in the end statue of 7 soldiers depicting country's philosophy. I rally liked it.

We visited the National monument and we were very impressed with the set up, entry, surrounding park and of course the actual monument. There were many visitors but it never felt crowded. The photo opportunities were everywhere. From the monument there was also a beautiful view. The funny detail that we all noticed was the statue was given to the... More
