Petaling Street or China town is famous for cheap handbags, luggage, street food, clothings, souvenirs and others. It gets rather crowded on weekends and evenings. So if you are looking for a bargain, go in the morning or mid afternoon when the crowd is less. Don't forget to bargain.

Products are extremely expensive, though it is marketed as a place with low priced goods. You can find the same items at a lower price in Berjaya Times Square or any other shopping mall with good atmosphere. Prices must be low, as the tourists flood in due to reviews and marketing done online for this place. Also, it is too... More

Jalan Petaling, also known as Petaling Street, also known as Chinatown. However, it is no longer like before. Previously, the street is selling all sorts of things, including street food and refreshments in push carts. the push carts may have improved, but the feeling is no longer like before, as in Chinatown. Now majority, if not all the stalls are... More

I love this place, I enjoying winning, so the heckling is a laugh the store owners are friendly, always ready to make a little extra money from you, nothing's that expensive that you can't be reasonable with them, it's not somewhere to go and be serious, it's a laugh.

Barging as much as you can, the price they give you first is extreme, you can buy it for as low as 100% discount, for example if they tell you RM100 you can buy it for RM50 or even lower, be patient and be sure you want the thing you asked for, if they give you the price you said... More

When stall holders quote higher prices than originals you know you're in the wrong place. Even after you think you've done well at 50% off the first asking price you have still paid well over the top for what is basically crap.

It has lots of handbags from famous brands. Test your bargain power. MOst of the shops sell the same things so take some time to wander and you'll find on the next door

This review is quite late. This is a good place to start exploring the City by foot with its scores of accommodation, shopping and dining options.

This street was the centrepoint of Kuala Lumpur way back around Malaya's independence era. It is said to be the heart of KL Chinatown. Nowadays, it is a touristy street with mostly foreign vendors running the stalls. If you know where to look, you can find Chinese food gems in the vicinity, day and night.
