More like a shopping complex than a market as no stalls as such, all small shops. Prices are very much geared towards the tousit and mostly fixed, so no haggling for bargains like the regular markets. There are lots of souvenier mementos you can pick up. Lots of the local handcraft shops were very expensive in here compared to the... More

Unlike markets you've seen in other asian countries (I'm looking at you, Ben Thanh), this market is clean, quiet, and not jammed full of pushy salespeople. It's possible to shop here and enjoy the experience. Also the market has some stalls of actually homemade, handcrafted products. Would go again

This is a tourists market, nothing more and nothing less. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just don't expect it to be something else.

Prices are kind of expensive for a market. We have tried several of the food stalls at the market and find the food edible....just. Nothing to rave about. They have a few Taylor's there that are good but not the cheapest I have seen. Also the stalls outside the market dont know the meaning of market as the prices are... More

Central Market is a good place to visit even on a hot day, as there are many stalls on the inside with airconditioning. There are some good options to buy snacks (not so much for proper meals). The markets are also great for souvenir shopping as you can expect.

This place sells some local products and also from other cultures like Nepalese, Middle eastern, Indonesian etc so it was pretty interesting for a look. Be prepared to spend a few hundred ringgits or even thousands for quality products but there are also some cheaper products if you wish. But I found that for the cheaper stuff you can find... More

We were most impressed with the range & quality of craft goods on offer. This is a far better market than most in the Far East & we really enjoyed shopping there.
