Overview
More
Central Market began life as a wet market in 1888, built by Yap Ah Loy, the city’s Chinese Kapitan. It served as a prominent landmark in colonial and modern-day Kuala Lumpur. When the wet market was relocated in the 1980s, the Malaysian Heritage Society successfully petitioned against the demolition of the building. Now, Central Market Kuala Lumpur is an iconic attraction and a delightful destination for tourists, shoppers and art lovers.

This is the best market to buy tradional clothes and handicrafts. It has two floors with many shops and a foodcourt too. Try to huggle to get a better price. There are Indian,Indonesian and Malaysian customes. The Indonesian batic is quite colorful.

If you need to buy some souvenirs, it's a place to go, kept well. Good food court and street food. Over all worth a stroll.

This landmark seems to be on the list of 'must dos' for tourists, especially on a wet or sunny day. The building itself is an iconic renovated wet market with additions. On display is a range of Malaysian arts and crafts, including some very tacky...More

You can find a lot of traditional and unique items in central Market. Always the seller will rise the price. Take the free map from reception to see area surrounded by central market. The honey store there provide better precises comparing with others.
