It a nice place to look around and they has a lot of unique things. Please do not bargain and even ask the price if you don't wish to buy. The next thing you know you will be scolded with vulgar word and humiliated and Malaysian does this not the foreigners. Shame on them,

We visited Chinatown KL last year while in holidays at KL. Found Chinatown an interesting and easily acccessible place with cheap and good food! My family went back there 3x for sumptious dinner during our 4 days stay!

These places seem to be the dame wherever you go, not much originality, but worth a visit if you like markets. I found a couple of stalls selling some unusual items. I go for the ambience rather than the shopping. I went by monorail and ended up getting lost! Walked around for ages in the heat as hardly any signs,... More

I have enjoyed this area of the city both times I've visited. This is my recommendation for places to stay in the city, and the food isn't too bad either.

Its a very crowded market place. We visited during chinese new year celebration period so the entire market was painted red with decoration and light. Be careful about thieves. there are like hundreds of shops that sell everything one can imagine. You need awesome bargaining skills.

I enjoyed this place, but I find it rather odd that all vendors are Bangladeshis. Its good to at leasr have half of the vendors chinese to keep its authenticity. Its called Chinatown afterall.

At the heart of Kuala Lumpur, is there a region that is more flamboyant and bustling with life. Chinatown, undoubtedly one of the most popular, significant and unique identity of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You can witness one of the most colorful and vibrant section of Kuala Lumpur here. It functions from morning 9 to 10 at night. However, evenings are... More

Worth a stop, especially if you want cheap (knock off) designer goods! Lots of stalls with not too much hassle. Busy and vibrant and worth a visit and nice to look round the streets and temples near by.

It may be quite an attractive visit for people exploring places for non veg food, with a variety of options, but for strictly vegetarian people like us, who cannot stand the smell of fish etc for long, can be little difficult to spend much time. Many Street shops for souvenir etc, but is relatively expensive.
