Chinatown doesn’t rate very high as an attraction in TA reviews, but the majority of reviewers seem to be rating Chinatown based solely on shopping there, and the rest solely on dining there. Actually, Chinatown has several attractions that have nothing to do with either shopping or dining. I’d like to provide some information on Chinatown’s hidden historical, architectural, and... More

Without doubt this really is a Tourists Trap. But after all you are a tourist to do give it a try. Few good restaurants serving some very good food. Prices are reasonably considering where you are. Don't be afraid haggle with the stall holder's - this is all part of the experience. What ever price they say 1/2 then work... More

This is a night market, whereby there is a lot of fake branded goods, makeup & apparrels to purchase. In between there is few food stalls such as chinese seafood, pakistani, fresh cut fruits and dessert stall that sells hot/cold beancurd.

We got off hop on/off bus but it was soooo hot and humid that walking around the market was hard work. This place is packed with stalls selling everything fake. There's a good atmosphere here if you go in the morning, it's busy with hustle & bustle. Sellers are in your face though, they're desperate to sell you their stuff... More

China is a great place to visit but preferably after 6 pm or later due to the hot weather. keep in mind for that prices are very exaggerated and you have to negotiate always to get lower price. China town is a good place for dinner and light drink.

This area is a shopping and Chinese street food zone. U really need to bargain if you are going shopping. Has a few massage shops as well. Don't forget to try the dark coloured longan drink at one of the street corners ( air Mata Kuching ) or soy bean milk on a hot day.
