We arrived at the KL railway station from Alor Star. The KTM staff at the exit was busy "playing" with his phone and was not helpful.

We stayed at a hotel that was next door to this building and walked by it several times. You can tell that it once was beautiful. However it's not well maintained. I don't know how other recent reviewers could say that it's in excellent condition. I thought the building was no longer in use, it looks abandoned but we were driving by with a guide and he said it's still used. You can't go inside. It's an old, dirty building but the architecture is nice.

Heritage building with great architecture. Great place for photo shooting and quick stop in KL to admire the beauty of the building.

The building is a heritage masterpiece, but it is not open to the public. You can take pictures of the exterior, however. It's across the street from the old railway building--another heritage building that is falling apart, sadly.

This is a beautiful building that was designed by a British architect.
It has a distinct Moorish flavour and is kept in excellent condition.

Worth seeking out to view this great building. Lovely to walk around. Had a drink at the railway cafe. There is an old abonded hotel nearby still with original features.

It is worth visiting the railway station to admire the fine british colonial architecture, still very well preserved, standing proudly against modern sky scrapers

Passed by the other day in a taxi and it captured the attention, so much so that we returned a few days later to explore on foot. Really glad we did. Lovely buildings that signify part of this wonderful city's history.
