Located in Merdaka Square, the main draw seems to be the I Love KL sign out in front. However, there was a much better sign located on the second floor but not in red.

On the first floor was a small diorama of KL, a room cataloguing history of KL as well as a busy cafe and gift shop.

The second floor was much quieter so don’t miss it. Here was a much larger 3D model of the greater KL city in one large room, a wall with details about the tall buildings in KL, an angel wings wall (for IGs), a cool floating model of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

A great place to find out more about Kuala Lumpur and take great photos! Full of very special exhibits and models incluclding a miniture model of the whole of Kuala Lumpur- and it's totally free!

The toilets are holes in the ground.

The cafe has incredible michelin worthy pastries.

Fun, creative exhibitions which my kids (ages 9 and 13) enjoyed. The café patisserie lived up to its delicious reputation.

Place is in a pitiful stage but nevertheless seems to be open - a paper in the entrance desk says it’s free to visit…we entered with a large group with their guide, we were a bit surprised by the place (empty or neglected) when a very rude guard arrived and yelled at us to go away (I think he was supposed to make sure tourists don’t come in but left his position - this doesn’t excuse his very rudeness and unprofessional attitude )…even the tourist guides didn’t know that it is closed is!!! Spare your time and don’t bother coming

We saw this KLCG Confectionery on Tik Tok and decided to give it a try. I do believe it is a little overrated and pricey. You need to make a reservation or wait approximately 30 minutes for a table then line up order your selections and wait another 20 minutes. The pastries were delicious but not worth the price or the wait in my opinion. The photo opportunities were good and its always nice trying different places so if you have some additional time it is a decent place to hang out at for a morning snack but do not go out of your way if you are short on time.

I have traveled to KL for 6 Days, my first stop was in Merdaka Square, River of Life and its surroundings. I've also visited KLCG and my favorite part of the gallery were the 2nd level exhibition and the Cafe at the ground floor, very good pastries and refreshing juices!!! I just loved it.

In KLCG or Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, if you are a photo addict it's a must visit where you can find nice exhibition and a very nice art background installations for your nice pictorial galore. And, a stop by to their Cafe at the ground floor, their pastries and other food on their menus are mouthwatering. I have tried their pistachio pastry and their mint lime juice., super yum! :) You can check my IG or Tiktok for other photos & vids @cespina06.

A perfect place in the midst of tropical heat! The entrance is free so we went in and realize that it was like a museum telling history of KL. There is also a cafe inside and took a rest. The food and beverage there are reasonable in terms of price, the breads there are freshly made from the oven.

I had a quick walk through here and it's cool to see. It has abit of information about the history of KL, a huge model of the whole city of KL which shows how big the city is. A nice cafe looked popular and afew good photo spots with I love KL. Free also which was handy.
