We went to visit this attraction as we wanted to see and learn more about the Malaysian way of life in a traditional house. The main attraction is a house that has been salvaged and rebuilt as close as possible to its original state. It is essential you have a guided tour which we had who was very knowledgeable and... Located in the heart of city centre where surrounded by high rise building. A historical place where you can see the architecture of this place is built up many years back.

As others have indicated, there is a MRY 10 donation for a tour which lasts about 30 minutes. These are at 11:00AM and 3:00PM so time your visit accordingly The old wooden house was transported a six hour drive from Northern Malaysia and then reassembled here. There is a 10 minute or so video on the move which is worth... More

We had a private tour today of the lovingly renovated Malay house. Tours are at 11 and 3 pm. We just made sure that we were there at 3pm. Walk into the white house behind the main house to make your donation (10 rm per person) and let a guide know that you are there. The house tour was quite... More

Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman is a traditional Malay house located just a short walk from KL Craft Complex within the Badan Warisan Malaysia area. I joined the guided tour at 11am and there was a minimum donation of RM10. Before the guided tour started, the guide let me to watch a short documentary video of the restoration process for the... Excellent. Go there. Now. (But not on Sundays, it's closed). Guided tours are at 11am and and 3pm, you need to be there for those times - I don't think you can visit without the tour. A minimum donation of RM10 each is expected, but its well worth the small cost. What you get is a little oasis of history... More

This traditional Malay house is located opposite, across the street from The Royale Chulan hotel. You can only enter into the house at 11am and 3pm with the guided tour. Since I went there around 12:30pm, I only allowed to view the house and took some photos from the outside. I hope on the future they can place 1 staff... More

Hello Hisham, Thank you for your review. Because we operate a full time office, our guided tours are limited to 11am and 3pm, allowing internal staff to act as guides at these time slots. We do tours at different times as well, provided a booking inquiry is made in advance. Hope the above helps and thank you for your visit!... More

If you like to learn about the culture and history when you travel, this is the place to go. The house is so well preserved and presented, the organization dose an anazing job maintaining the house, studying the history of it, and keep the stories for the generations to come. So make sure you go at 11am or 3pm for... More

This carefully restored house with its skillfully carved woodwork provides a delightful refuge amongst the towering hotels and shopping malls of Bukit Bintang. The staff are really passionate and knowledgeable about their house as if they know they must be under threat of having to dismantle it again and move elsewhere. The insights into life 100 and more years ago... More
