- JulieGoodallCoventry, United Kingdom141 contributionsWorth it for the great viewsWent around 10,3 on a Tuesday and not busy, brought two tickets for sky box as we didn't realise we only need one per group, but handing them over he said we had double the time, however they didn't seem to be rushing anyone. The professional photographer also took my husband camera to take photos of us and our phone. Found all staff polite.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 February 2024
- TedistravellingQueensland, Australia202 contributionsBest city views of KLThis is the best opportunity for city photos possible. 360 degree views open air at 300m in height. Fantastic views. Cost for the Sky View deck for foreigners is 110rm per person. Just note this does not include the walk into the glass bottom deck. We were not informed of this and assumed it was part of our price. It costs only 10rm for 45 secs to stand on the glass deck. Very cheap but we were not prepared to have to take a trip back to the ticketing area to purchase. Petronas towers is good, this is much better!!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 February 2024
- Sasha DPerth, Australia22 contributionsGood experience and worth a visit. We pre purchased a ticket from a vendor recommended by a taxi driver. Not sure if it was good value or not as didnt research before the purchase. We were advised to go around sunset to get the day and night view, however we went around 5pm. There was a lot of people there. We had a 40 minute wait to go on the sky box. Lucky for us we got on before the lightening started and everyone was evacuated. Over all a fabulous view and a worthwhile experience. Found out after we hiked up the hill that there was a courtesy bus that went every 15 minutes. Hike not that hard for avid walkers, however children and unfit people may struggle.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 June 2024
- sandeep aNew Delhi, India2 contributionsExcellent . Got to see the beautiful view of KL from top of KL tower. Reached by 6:30 pm. Enjoyed the lights view too.Excellent visit . KL staff was very supportive. Due to heavy rush & other tour due in night , missed the view on due date but staff was supportive enough to redeem the ticket next day. Good hospitality.Visited October 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 November 2024
- Orwelian389 contributionsHigh 5Getting there on a very hot day with a couple of walking sticks in tow presents a challenge for those not wanting to use a taxi. There is a free shuttle to the tower base from the park entrance. All of the staff that we came into contact with on our vist were outstanding, polite, exceedingly helpful, and pleasant doesn't praise them enough. There were a couple of cruise ships passengers attending, Chinese New Year holidays, and causing a near 2 hour wait to even get in the lift. Ultimately, the views are stunning, the skyline over KL releases it's unique views of Petronas and Merdeka 118 to name but 2, so worth the wait, but plan a visit carefully. Cost for non Malaysian MYR 110.Visited February 2025Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 February 2025

Very nice view up at the top however wished that there is a gallery to explain about the construction of the tower and the thoughts behind it. The ticket got us right to the top where the viewing platform are. The view is great. You can also choose to queue up for the viewing boxes which are essentially transparent enclosures which allows you to take photos of the city below. As usual there is the professional photographer there which you have to pay, however they included a nice touch where after his session, you get about a minute to take selfies or wefies. What is not so good is that the queue are pretty long and I think we spend about an hour waiting for the chance to take photos from the two boxes.

I visited the KL Tower in the evening with my partner and was blown away by the panoramic views of the city.
Before we could step into the Sky Box, it started raining! But the friendly staff didn't want my fun to be rained out. They offered me a free pass to come back anytime within a month, which I gladly accepted.
The next morning, I was back at the tower, eager to experience the Sky Box. And let me tell you, it was exhilarating! Stepping into that glass enclosure suspended high above the city was a bit scary at first, but the views were awesome and we had few minutes to take pictures. We got awesome pictures of the view!!!
The Sky Box experience is definitely worth the time and price. It's a unique chance to feel like you're floating above the clouds and capturing unforgettable memories of Kuala Lumpur. So, if you're looking breathtaking city views, the KL Tower's Sky Deck and Sky Box are a must-try!
Tip:
We booked the tickets on the spot so paid full price. If you book even a day in advance from klook it can be way cheaper.

The 360 view of KL was amazing on a beautiful sunny morning.
Tips
1) Go early before 10am to avoid queues.
2) When you get to level 5, you will be given a number for photos in sky box 1 and sky box 2. If you go with group of friends, remember to take more ticket numbers as each number entitles you to 90 seconds for "picture time" in the sky box.
We made a mistake, went with another couple but only took 1 ticket for both box 1 and 2. So we had to split 45 seconds each for the picture session. We did not use the professional photographer, we got someone queuing there to help take pics.
Enjoy the views. Worth the money.

The staff at the top were very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. In the sky box they insist you to take a photographer service with extra charge and if you refuse they don’t give you time to take photos by your own. It was the worst experience in Malaysia. Also, security was following us with comments that we should not lean on the glass, but they were silent when one man did the same. Felt very unwelcomed and frustrated from the staff behavior and attitude

Bought a ticket on the official website of the tower, but made a mistake with the checkbox (the form on the website is disgusting) and bought a ticket for the Malaysian, which is half the price. Immediately called the call centre asking them to exchange a ticket, which they told me they could come to the register and do it there. As a result, the box office said they had nothing to do with Internet tickets, and could neither refund nor exchange them. Called the call centre again, where they already told me they couldn't exchange or refund money for a wrong ticket. Sending claim - effect - 0. Recommended next time to be more careful on the site. Moreover, the weather was bad that day and the view on the roof of the tower was closed. In this case, the website says that you can use a ticket the next day, but at the box office this information is denied! It's messy and crazy. Such regulations are contrary to all consumer laws. I do not recommend buying tickets online - no one!!! Come on a weekday, sunny day, in person and buy a ticket instantly.

No customer service and unashamed price gouging. The view was ok (through the smog) but no information whatsoever and the customer service was lousy and completely disinterested. We purchased a photo book (RM175!) from upstairs but the printer wouldn’t work so had to go downstairs (where they were much cheaper). The counter with the broken printer demanded payment prior to going downstairs, and I had to ask twice for the correct change (short charged each time). I was unsure if old mate was a shark or just plain dopey.

Make sure you prebook and get there early in the morning . I say this because it gets busy and hot. We went and we were pretty well the first group up. We had the run of the place and no pressure. It’s a good experience and takes around 30-40 mins. It’s high and the views are great (when not hazy). The skybox is cool but not for the those that have vertigo. The photos of you accept them are actually very good but a little pricey. All in all a very nice excursion. Thumbs up

What a truly spectacular way to see the city. From the vantage point far above the city, one could see with clarity all that was below. I highly recommend coming to the top in the evening when the buildings begin to shine in a magical way. The view was unmatched and the area well-maintained and clean. The staff were helpful and professional which added to the enjoyment of the visit.

We decided to visit last minute
Very long walk up hill to entrance
Quick and easy purchase of tickets (99RM each including Sky Deck and Sky Box)
No queues and swiftly taken up to Sky Deck. Outside area with 360 degree views over the entire city which give u a good sense of the size and geography of the city. The Sky Box is a large glass floored box protruding from side of Sky Deck. You are given a ticket and need to wait to be called. They seem very organised and didn’t appear to restrict the length of visit on the Sky Deck.
We visited Petronas Towers later the same day on a pre-booked visit and felt that KL Tower trumped this for views. Petronas also runs on very strict timescales and you are bearded like sheep with no choice on how long or short your stay is.

Warning. On arrival we were encouraged to purchase tickets to the exterior viewing platform that included the sky box (a glass floor to ceiling area that hangs over the edge of the tower) costing 90 ringlets pp. Although the entry queue was shorter for this area it still took over 30 minutes to ascend to the viewing platform. On arrival you are given a ticket with a number on which is called when its your turn to enter the sky box. Having witnessed the city views we enquired how long it would be before our turn in the box, 55 minutes was the reply! As we were on a tour it was not possible to bring the allocated time forward so we had to forfeit the experience as you also need to allow time to descend the tower. It was a very disappointing experience, certainly not value for money and one I wouldn't recommend unless you have several hours free to lose.
