Lots of cool shopping. Bought some thermals as it was colder in Japan than expected. Found great restaurant. Nice atmosphere under the roof.

We'd heard a lot about this place before coming to Nagasaki, and it was OK, but it's really just like a big street mall. There are some interesting shops, but there are probably better places to visit in Nagasaki if you don't have time to come here. I guess one of the best places here is the restaurant Yuukuzi Curry. I think Shinchi Chinatown is smaller, but it's more fun and has more character.

My family comes here every time we visit Nagasaki because it is where most locals s-end their time off work. The atmosphere is amazing, and it is a great place for people watching. The entire arcade is essentially a street with a glass roof on top, making it great destination if it rains. There are also cafes on the second floor that overlook the entire street.

Great place to buy authentic souvenirs. Check out the amazing paper store, the tea shop, the cakes store, the amazing traditional chawamushi dinner place, the heart coffee shop where locals meet and every coffee has a heart shaped cup and more. Old Nagasaki missed by most tourists! Easy access by bus too.

Hamamachi Arcade is a shopping street in Nagasaki, which begins at a tram station of the same name. There are some major shops like Hamacross, Hamaya etc. on this street. To observe the everyday life of the local people, it is a nice place.

During the day it's a typical normal arcade, but at night it looks like Osaka, both in a good and a bad way. At night a lot of people come out for dinner, shopping, and drinks. It's very lively, however there's a lot of random men standing around. What are they doing? They were everywhere! Which is why it reminded me of Osaka. Wasn't sure if they were standing about for nefarious reasons, or to take up space. See if you also see them on like every single street corner.

Located south-east of the Nishihamano-Machi tram stop, Hamamachi Arcade is one of Nagasaki's most vibrant shopping areas. We have walked from the Spectacle Bridge side. Similar to most covered arcade it houses a wide variety of shops, cafes and a fast-food chain including KFC and McDonalds. This 400 meter long street is home to more than 180 stores so definitely worth a stroll through this major shopping streets. Do also look out for shops selling Castella, Portuguese sponge cake, the Nagasaki specialty that come in various flavour. For anime lovers, the arcade is home to Nagasaki city’s own Animate. (think Tokyo’s Akihabara). There are a few stores which offers popular manga, character goods and more. While I may not know all of the character it should bring on joy to see the colourful setup ...

The arcade had some atmosphere and it did provide a wide variety of shops, cafes and a few restaurants including the usual tourist places of KFC and McDonalds. Worth a stroll through as this is one of the major shopping streets. There were a number of specialized whale shops selling whale products which added interest. There are also shops selling Castella, a yellow Portuguese sponge cake , a Nagasaki specialty.

Essentially two intersecting streets with a roof over the streets. It contains some great eating spots hidden above shops or down side alleys.
