Nicely packaged castellas, but a tad too sweet. This shop has been in business for a long time and it's just close by Dejima Wharf, Comfort Hotel.

Castella (カステラ) is the famous souvenir in Nagasaki. It is lucky that we found this Bunneidou main store near the bus terminal in Nagasaki. The castella is very delicious and soft, but not too sweet. We bought the original flavor and the macha flavor. It is a very good confectionery with tea and coffee on the weekend afternoon!

Nice taste and make an excellent gift to bring back to US (no complaint from custom which is a blessing!) Besides, when you walk in, the staff will offer you cake sample with tea on a tray. You can try... More
