Not the best day to do this, as it was closed in and cloudy so the visibility was non existent. However the cable car is well organised and on a good day the view must be fantastic.

Cold at night, remember to bring clothes. Beautiful. We stay long, but no worry for the free bus service to Nagasaki Station, it is easy to catch other bus service (pay) just down hill opposite site.

It is a spectacular view but if westerner? like most everything in Kyushu area there is no English. So you see a nice view but no history. I took pictures and the pictures on my phone are the same in the brochure. But the view is a 4 star and bring a coat it's cold up there

A summer visit would probably give a good nights view as claimed, being 3rd in the world after Hong Kong and Monaco. It was quite chilly and cloudy, thus don't find it as amazing as it says. Nevertheless, the rope way ride, and the view over the city is really good.

If going up Mt Inasa you should go later in the afternoon to maximise the changing views. Take the Ropeway there and back. We had dinner overlooking the city as it went from dusk to dark and it was beautiful to watch.

We travelled out by local bus and found the way to the cable car a little underwhelming One at the cable car the operation was very slick, with a commentary on Japanese and English as you ascended and descended The view over the city and harbour at night were stunning, especially as it was a crisp clear night

I took the cablecar, having walked to the lower station from Takara-machi tram stop, about fifteen minutes. Found afterwards that the 20 and 40 buses go from the JR station to the cablecar station itself, Y150. The ride is nice and the view is really good with points of light shining at you, the river shimmering and a suspension bridge... More

Got discount ticket for 980yen from the tourist information centre, included the free shuttle bus to the ropeway from the JR station. It is said that it's 1 of the 3 best night view in the world (Hong Kong, Monaco and Nagasaki). I've never been to the one in Monaco, but the Nagasaki one is nowhere close to the one... More

Apparently there are really good views up here but when it's cloudy you cannot see whatever. It's a quick ride up the rope from an attractive garden setting but ...

Nice night view of the city. If you are driving, just park your car halfway and there is a free shuttle bus which brings you to the top and also brings you back.
