Very very very long stretch of shops lining the roads till we can't see the other end from the start. Good place to get cheaper and younger stuff as well as snacks. Some shops gives travellers tax-free on their purchases.

What an absolute blast, crazy walking street/mall/something crazy that goes for miles. Food, crappy souvenirs, or veer onto the main drag and buy a Bentley. Food ranges from gag-a-maggot to haute cuisine. Don't do a tour, save money have more fun, explore on your own.

This section of Chuo ward is probably the first place every tourists will end up spending time at. It is perpendicular to Dotonbori and has allegedly the longest covered pedestrian shopping street in the whole of Japan, in one stretch perhaps. There are endless choices...More

This area has lots of stores and is a very long covered shopping street. Some of the stores are western companies and others are more local to Japan. The area is bustling and has a positive energy but I am not sure I would plan...More

I mean that should go without saying really but shopping is a miserable experience for me anyway, add on to that the icy squalls and intermittent sideways rain shooting down the famous tunnel and you have a recipe for my own personal hell. Tried some...More

Long shopping street where you can get your duty free shopping done (¥5000 and above for duty free at selected stores). There are also F&B outlets here.

Great place for shopping and eating. The time goes so fast, you can walk up and down this place forever, and still feel like you want to see more. So many shops, so many people and so long - it goes on forever

The prices are the same as the UK so I'd assume that it's worldwide. People assume that Japan is more expensive but it isn't. Remember you do get VAT returns but it's not cumulative on your total bill. There's a minimum on... More
