Where do I begin ... Dotonbori,... it's really an endless maze. Shops, food and people buzzing everywhere. It's hard not to get lost and not to find what you're looking for. There's literally everything that you need in here

Dontonbori is especially fabulous after dark. So many places to eat, the lights and atmosphere are amazing. Lots of people around, plenty of shops and restaurants.

What's difficult to do when we got here? Choosing where to eat! So many restaurants to choose from! If there's a long queue in a restaurant, go eat there, the long wait is worthwhile.

Tons of place selling more or less the same food, felt like a maze with the crowd, and actually start to get sick by the smell of grease intertwined after spending 2 hours there trying to figure out what to eat. Too sick to eat anything, decided to leave in the end without actually eating anything!

A must go place in Osaka where there is a wide selection of food and shopping to be done! Always crowded and full of activity, you can never be bored. Be careful of some touts but they will back off if you politely decline.

We just went there today. This place is cool, it has a very long long shopping street there. It has a lot of yummy food, skin care products (note, if you bring ur passport there, you don't need to pay for the tax for some of the stores) and fashion clothes. It's a most famous place in Osaka and it's... More

Dotonbori is not quite a tourist trap....although it is packed with tourists. You might pay a little more here than elsewhere, but the food is just as good and authentic as anywhere else. There's lots of bright lights and noise...but just go where the crowds are...a long line normally means the food is excellent!! And the lines move quickly. I... More

We didn't have a lot of time, but there is tons to see and do in this megaplex of stores and restaurants. We went into some arcades that were multilevel and full of games.

It is where all the action happens with hidden lane ways, bars, and restaurants. Mixed crowds so is everything from very expensive to super cheap. Shops are open to quite late and a excellent shopping district.

We ended up at Dotonbori since a top rated Yakiniku place, Matsuzakagyu Yakiniku, is located there. It was perfect since we wanted to walk off the excellent meal we had there, and the many shopping options there can keep you occupied for hours. Most of the shops and restaurants there have English speaking employees so it's easy for Western travelers... More
