Osaka Castle I have only the following things to say about Osaka Castle. It is a must-visit place as it is the symbol of the city. There are a few ways to go to the castle. Nonetheless, I recommend Tanimachiyonchome Station 谷町四丁目 which is next to Osaka Museum of History. You may pay a visit to the museum first and... More

The castle outlook is gorgeous. With Osaka Metro daily pass, you get free permission to enter inside for the museum. It has a lot historic information about then Japan (theJapan Emperor and the Most powerful General) and the architecture. The "gold dolphin" on the corners above roof is the logo of this castle. This visit helped me know and learn... More

We arrived to the Castle at around 6 pm and we were glad to see that the inside of the building was open until 7 pm. On the top of the Castel there is a very nice roof where one can admire the Osaka skyline and the park of the castel. The atmosphere was particularly nice at sunset, with a... More

We arrived right before sunset. We had a nice walk through the park, looking at cherry blossom trees on our way to the castle. There are many vendors selling foods and drink so you can have a picnic on your way to or from the castle. The castle itself is beautiful. Exactly like you see and expect from pictures.

Osaka Castle is a reconstruction of the original castle which was demolished. Despite this, the visit is worth the small entrance fee. from the exhibits on each floor, you get an idea of what life was like under the Shogun. There arer super views from the top. Lots of stairs!

This castle is great to see sakura. And you definitely have to go inside the castle to see japanese history. Walking under sakura tree and eat maccha ice cream was something memorable for me.

This wasn't as great as we expected. The park is nice and the grounds have a lot going on and good views of the castle. The park and grounds alone are nice to stroll around. Going inside the castle was not really worth the money. It's crowded in there and there was nothing so impressive...unless you are an avid Japanese... More

The castle was not far from our hotel and was in easy walking distance Whilst there were many people wanting to visit the castle the lines moved quickly - we took the easy way out and went to the upper levels by elevator walking to the two upper levels. The view from the top of the castle was very good... More

Nice castle and in great condition, but not the original as I understood it got demolished in 1868. Nice walled park leading up to the castle.
