Recommend privacy family onsen. Can book via email 3 days prior to the date you want. Pls note, couple cannot use this service, it is only for husband and wife. It is about $40 AUD, you get your own private hotspring with your family.

I stumbled upon this bath purely by chance while riding the train from Nara to Osaka. I saw advertisements for a spa around Tsuruhashi station and did mi homework as soon as I got to my hotel. Unfortunately there's not much information available in english. I had been disappointed by my experience at SpaWorld, however, I was very pleasantly surprised by Nobeha no Yu

Getting there was a bit of a challenge, the Japanese website of the spa has a rather simple looking map that makes it seem like finding it is a breeze, but it is not quite so easy as the exit in tsuruhashi station leads you into a veritable maze of shops within a sort of flea market. The best advice I can give is to just exit Tsuruhashi station (kintetsu line) and go north to the main street (or rather, the only real street), and then walk east about 2 blocks until you see a rather big Nobuta Pachinko Parlor, the spa is right behind there and there's even a couple of big maps pointing you there, you just have to know that the name of the place in japanese is :延羽の湯. The place is very easy to find once you get out of the rail station maze. And if all else fails, just ask for the big Nobuta pachinko parlor or nobeha no yu, it's right next to the station so most people around the neighborhood should know where it is.

The spa is only 800 yen but the facilities are quite nice, they were much nicer than the much hyped SpaWorld in Osaka (although not quite as used to tourists, but still very friendly and with english instructions available). The baths have a large variety of tubs and relaxation areas available, as well as optional treatments, what I found most nice was that the tubs were very nice and well maintained and also in a variety of temperatures, so you can find a spot to suit your needs, and also, at 30 minutes on every hour, the staff comes up to the sauna with herbal oils (you'll be able to tell as most patrons in the environs flock to the sauna) and they blow all the steamy goodness your way, it is quite a relaxing and unique experience.

While the place is smaller than SpaWorld and does not boast facilities as spectacular, they are much more refined and well maintained and given the price and location, the place is very had to beat, this is definitely my favorite super sento in Osaka. I only hope it advertised to tourists a bit more so more people could enjoy it. From what I could gather, the place is open until 2am.

I read the other English review, and decided give this place a try instead of Spa World. It wasn't that hard to find (I typed in the address listed into Google, and took screen shots to help me get there). You need to exit out of the East exit of the Station. The suggestion that I would give is to make sure that you know the exact ally the subway entrance is for your way back. I did get a bit tossed around, thankfully I ran into an older woman that spoke Korean, so she helped me get back to the station.

Once there, the staff did not speak English, however, they did have a card sheet with English (and Korean) translations on it. It was about 1000yen for just the hot spring, and 2000yen with the sauna. The system that they use if very similar to Korean saunas, where they give you a key with a bar code, then you charge it to your account, and pay when you leave.

The facilities were very clean. I went in the evening (about 6pm) and it wasn't very crowded. If you are looking for a Japanese hot spring/sauna experience I would recommend this.

The public onsen is divided into men and women areas. It is considered very reasonable at JPY850 per person. If you want privacy (e.g family or couple), you can book private rooms JPY3,800-4500 per hour per room. The room is good for 2-4 people.

The place is very clean and have 2 restaurants where you can eat after onsen. Take metro to Tsuruhashi (鶴橋) and walk for another 8 mins. Print a simple google map and it is not difficult to find.

When we arrived, we asked if we could use UnionPay, they confirmed we could. When we came to pay the bill at the end, the same assistant kept running the card through the machine. Then suddenly she stopped doing this, and said "we only accept visa, sorry". We tried to question the fact she knew our card was Union Pay this whole time, but the response was just a smile and a "sorry". Finally one of us had to rush off to find an ATM elsewhere, not even allowed to wear our own shoes, which they keep as collateral, so we were wearing flimsy plastic slippers running around the streets. Bad end to the hot spring. If you only have Union Pay don't come to this establishment.

I've been to a couple onsens and so far this one is my favorite and one I've been able to stay in for more than an hour. It's a really short walk from Tsuruhashi JR station.

To start, you need to place your shoes into the shoe cubby, get your key and go to the counter to exchange for an assigned key to locker room storage. You pick the onsen floor(850 yen) or the sauna floor(1050 yen) before proceeding (you can probably do both as well). I just went straight for the onsen. You are informed that you can make purchases with the barcode that comes with your keys. Unfortunately I couldn't find any free beverages for guests, not even water.

The different temperature pools made it possible to fully relax and enjoy. Many of the ladies rested in the lukewarm outdoor bath. I tried the cold pool and couldn't even get in past my knee but an elderly lady encouraged that it felt great once you get past the initial dunk, and she was right! There is an interesting standing bath too. Many of the elderly ladies hung out there. I think it provided a good opportunity for a great stretch. The herbal sauna room was also very amazing. Each half hour or hour employees would round everyone up to gather in the steam room where they will pour water into the hot rocks, and proceed to fan the steam onto each guest with a giant fan. I could feel my pores opening up, and my skin felt so soft! It was so amazing but also very very hot. Some ladies had to exit after the first round of fanning. There is one more sauna room with a giant barrel of salt in the middle where you could grab handfuls to scrub your body, and let it melt. Ensure to get rid of all the salts in the shower room, or the taps before you go back into the other pools.

After finishing, I washed up again and got ready to go. The dressing rooms had just enough chairs for everyone and basic toiletries (cotton pads, q-tips, blow dryer). Afterwards you must go for korean food since you are in the biggest korea town in Japan, or go shopping for cheap groceries before heading home. There are also some vending machines along the street (beside the pachinko bld) with some of the cheapest prices I've seen for vending machine drinks. I picked up a peach alhocolic beverage on my way out. x

The private room can accommodate up to 4 person. Larger rooms for family are available, subjected to availability. The onsen was great! It was situated outside with open air view, great experience for the cold weather in the month of December. Amenities are well provided for you to freshen up after your onsen. The reception will also give you a gentle reminder via call 10 mins before your scheduled time is up. Instructions in English are available. Staff generally able to speak simple Mandarin so English speaking foreigners might have a bit of issue in communicating with the staff. You will be giving a wrist tag for all your purchases and usage of services in the facility. All payment are settled at the point when you are leaving the onsen so you do not have to carry cash with you. The massage services at level 1 requirr additional cost but the masseuse skills are excellent.

It is fairly easy to find but if you have any tattoos you're not allowed in...if you don't have any it looks great though.

The onsen has both inside and outside baths of different kind. There is also a sauna.
Men and women are separate and no swimwear or tattoos are allowed.

Our family enjoyed the experience very much and visited this onsen twice during a few days.

Nearby you can find restaurants that offer delicious korean bbq.
