Hectic neon lit market. But visitors should be aware that there are large numbers of tourists who can be very loud and pushy.

It is not a long walk from subway, but it is tucked away in side streets that is not obvious if you walk by on the main road. Street food, market of all sorts. It is worth visiting to see what Osaka/Japan has to offer (in term of seafood). Scallops and Uni (raw sea urchin) are something you don't want... More

If you want to see how Japanese shopkeepers are like and what they sell, this is the place to go. Everything from fresh seafood, drug store products and even clothes can be found here. Worth a visit and spend at least half a day here at the start of the morning.

Enjoyed our visit at Kuromon market. Enjoyed sampling the different local delights like sushi, yakiniku, steak, snow crabs, and grilled scallops.

Kuromon Market is just 7 minute walk from our hotel. This is the place where you can have fresh sushi, sashimi and more. Tip: try to get there before 10 am. You will see the store slowly opening for the day's business. And if you buy and decide to eat there, there won't be a lot of seats available if... More

Food stalls offering Osaka snacks are gathered in this street. Tempura, grilled seafood, Sashimi, sweets etc. can be purchased one by one. As all dishes were cheap, many tourists were walking while eating several kinds of snacks. We visited a tempura famous stall and ate ginger tempura. It was casual and fun time.

We came at around 8.30am as we weren't able to check into our hotel til later. The vendors were still setting up. I think the first place opened up around 8.45. It started to get busy at about 9.30. It's very very touristy as expected. Prices were higher because of that. Lots of Chinese tourists and some vendors speak Chinese... More
