Was in Osaka for Xmas and highly recommend travelers to have a stroll along Midosuji Street because they put up lights on both sides of the street and it was so pretty and romantic.

It is a street that we will try to walk a bit every time we visit Osaka but this time it was different. Wifey said that Midosuji was dolled-up with illumination and is a must-see so we popped by the very first night here. Was not disappointed, see pic appended! We alighted at Yodoyabashi and upon emerging from station it... More

It was nice walking along the street during autumn with all the leaves of the Gingko trees turning yellow. Many high-end shops along the street for those who enjoy shopping.

Just walking down this street one will see instantly that it contains very famous name top brand stores. Without even popping into any, one knows its expensive as one will find Burberry, Guess, Dolce Cabana, Chanel, Dior, Tiffany & Co, Emporio Armani, Prada and many more. There are also several Japanese style food places as well as a Subway. Its... More

This is the main road with high end shops and not as nice or interesting as the busy alleyways or arcades. However look up and you will see some amazing architectural buildings.

The biggest street in Osaka, about 45 minutes walking between shinsaibashi to yodoyayabshi bridge! Nice and very clean area. The only minus is you stay in a hotel on this street side, it is quite noisy at night.

I've walked Midosuji from Umeda to Namba, sometimes in pieces, sometimes the whole length. Some sections are soulless; some filled with interesting shops and stores, either on Midosuji itself or on streets branching from it. My favorite stretch begins at Yodoyabashi station, just south of the Tosabori River portion of the Yodo River, where there are numerous shade trees and... More

Unlike the Shinsaibashi which is over-crowded, this parallel main street is nice and beautiful. Worth a walk..
