よく見たり渡ったりしているものの、この橋の名前はなんですかと言われると答えられない..そんな橋です、ABC放送やリーガロイヤルホテルが近所にあり、この橋そのものはなにわ筋なので、重要な橋です。

福島側から中之島方向へ向かっていた際、玉江橋を渡りました。何度も通っているものの今まで気にした事がありませんでしたが、福島側の袂に江戸時代の橋を描いた絵がモニュメントとして説明文と共に立っていました。
もし、これが無ければ広い歩道を持つただの道路橋としか認識出来なかったかもしれません。

堂島川にかかる橋の一つで、京阪電車の終点中之島駅から少し上流にあたる。特に観光名所ではないが、この辺りの川沿いは気持ちのいい散策路になっており、川、橋、高層ビルのコントラストも美しい。

大阪の福島駅を降りて、中之島に向かう際に利用しました。橋の手前にはABCが有りました。
橋から東方向を見たら、川沿いに立つ高層ビルがとても綺麗でした。

中之島の堂島川に架かる橋で1600年後期に多くの橋が架けられました当初は堀江橋と言われていたようですが玉江橋に改名されたという記録も残っているようです。
南側の土佐堀川の架かる常安橋含め幅の広いなにわ筋の橋ですが往来するふたつの橋になっているのが特徴です。
また当時はこの橋から四天王寺の五重塔が見えたようです。

堂島川に架かるなにわ筋の橋、中之島を過ぎると土佐堀川に架かる常安橋に繋がります。なにわ筋は、福島駅方面からの車両が多い大阪市内でも幹線道路と言って良いところです。橋北詰にはＡＢＣテレビの社屋、また中津藩蔵屋敷跡が有り福沢諭吉が生誕したという碑も有ります。

土佐堀川に架かる、なにわ筋の橋です。南に向かって（東に向かって？）ここを渡ると中之島に到着です。見晴らしが良いですよ。

玉江橋が一年で一番映えるのは、十三の花火の日であり 土佐堀通りから少しのぼり坂のなにわ筋を北に向かうと淀川方向、福島駅の北側にビルの谷間に上がる見事な花火を楽しむことが出来る
