We followed the advice from other posters. We took the #30 Bus from the JR Nagano Station busstop #3. About 30 min and 650 Yen later we arrived at the transit center and walked about two blocks to the museum. The single museum ticket was only 300 Yen. It had a few English titles on exhibits, but no English text. That’s something they could work on, but otherwise it is an excellent place for anyone, like us, that had watched all 50 episodes of the Japanese TV Series. D-LIbrary is still carrying for streaming in the US. And it’s a good way for us to practice listening to Japanese with English subtitles. Before you walk back to the transit center, checkout the small store facing the parking lot. They have the best swirl soft serve cones with “mixed” milk (vanilla) and blueberry. Great on a hot summer day.

It's not my first time to go there. I went there last time in 2009, I came here again in 2016 due to the Daiga Dorama (大河ドラマ) "Sanada maru (真田丸)" on air. As a fans of Sanada clan and this dorama I made this plan to Nagano so early last year. Thanks to Sanada maru, the exhibitions I could see inside were a lot more than what I recalled in 2009. Even my Japanese was not good, I could understand most of the context inside, thanks to the detail explanation given in Japanese. However, explanation in English was very limited. I could notice something new especially there was one newly discovered letter which was written by Sanada Nobushige (真田信繁) listed as an exibition item which was very great. By going through all items and description in detail, it's definitely good to understand Sanada history in depth, greatly recommended.
