This show was a delight from start to finish. The maiko and geiko both perform and their grace and beauty are impressive. The play at the beginning is similar in story line to Midsummer Nights Dream - you don't need to speak Japanese to work...More

Pontocho's many signs and lanterns bolt to life,
making the area glow with invitations to passers-by to
come inside and pull up a chair. Its restaurants and
bars sprawl onto the riverbank, providing a friendly

According to the Kaburenjyou home page, there is nothing English information. I recommend to get ticket/information via tourist office, like JTB joy plaze where ready for English spoken visitor.
