This is a very good opportunity to really know the real Japan food even the Kobe meat in this market sells sea food, snacks, beers , tea, family market and special restaurants too, you can walk and try different kinds of foods

This is a lovely covered market mainly with lots of food stalls and a few shops scattered about. You will need about an hour at least for a leisurely stroll to view and sample a few things here and there. They start shutting the shops...More

Went here several times during our stay. Enjoyed sampling and buying some different foods that we were not familiar with. Busy with many tourists, but easy to stop for a refreshment along the way.

If you are in Kyoto to enjoy food, then Nishiki market should be a place to go. There are so much japanese delicacies and food around. An enjoyable place to eat.

The Nishiki market does not open until about 10am. Good to get there early before the crowds and before it gets too hot. There are long queues where the food is popular. Check the website for open days because the fish... More
