A beautiful garden was located next to the Temple. It was beautiful even in the summer (I wonder how it looks in autumn). The garden entrance fee was 300: and if you continue walking, you could reach Arashiyama Bamboo Forest from the garden. Visit early...More

We paid to get into the garden area only. There is a nice water feature, walking path and rock garden to see. You can see the outside of the buildings but need to pay extra to go in them.

The nature surrendering the trample is wonderful. We enjoyed a lot. If you visto this temple go to eat tofu at Kisaki a very nice place, people and food. We loved the atmosphere of that restaurant in an old house in Japanese style.

We visited this temple en route to the Bamboo Grove which is gained fame as being one of the most beautiful, surreal places on earth (justified). I didn't find the temple interior to be especially impressive, or worth the cost to enter; the gardens on...More

The minute I stepped into the Tenryuji temple, I felt like just sitting down and meditating. This zen Buddhist temple has such a wonderfully peaceful and positive vibe to it. It was simply blissful.

Period, where old homes have been transformed into tea
houses and eateries. Pleasure boats drift down the
riverbank, under wooden bridges that beckon nature
lovers to hiking trails and botanical walks. The
area's famously tall bamboo groves, monkey park, and
