The banks of the River Kamo is the perfect reason to wake up early on your Kyoto vacation. A dawn stroll near the Pontocho area is a great place to unwind.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is just next to this river. It is very pleasant to walk, ride bicycle and take photos along this river.

Beautiful to admire lots of restaurants along its banks. Great for an evening meal in summer. You can also do lots of bird watching and fish wtching. so clean like or the rivers and streams that flow through Kyoto.
