The experience was amazing! Toku was so welcoming, he explained the entire process to us, recommended which kimono/obi to wear and took photos of us along the way. We felt like we were right at home and the Katsura villa is absolutely breathtaking. Definitely a must do especially since it was our first time wearing kimono and participating in a tea ceremony. Highly recommend!!

Toku is very kind and has beautiful kimonos in his shop to choose from. We enjoyed the tea ceremony, but note that the tea ceremony is actually done at his shop, not in the villa. The visit to the villa was done in street clothes, not kimonos (a bit of a letdown as the photos would have been great!) and the tour of the villa is a pre-recorded audio guide; we were not clear on those details prior to purchase.

Thank you very much for your participation in our tour. We have added an explanation about the location of the tea ceremony experience, as we did not explain it well enough.
We were also concerned about taking the customer to the garden with stepping stones in kimono, which they maybe not familiar with, but we will be flexible to allow them to visit Katsura Imperial Villa in kimono if they wish.
We hope you enjoyed your trip to Kyoto.

15,000 yen? Are you kidding?ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
It was too high price for just only a cup of tea and wear KIMONO.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
KATURA tour is only 1,000 yen officially and easy to get a ticket!ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Thank you for your review.
We apologize that the tour did not meet your expectations. We regret that our lack of explanation may have caused you to misunderstand our tour. With your advice, we were able to improve the tour to make it even better. We have also revised our tour description to be more detailed to avoid similar misunderstandings.
The Katsura Imperial Villa is not an easy place to enter. After reading this detail, you will understand the reasonableness of the tour price and how much advance preparation and effort is required to visit the Katsura Imperial Villa.
We apologize for any discomfort this may have caused you, and we hope you enjoyed your trip to Kyoto.

We were warmly welcomed at the door by the owner of this cosy and exclusive kimono shop near, Karasuma Station, located at a peaceful and traditionally rich area. Masaya perfectly speaks English - this is something not common in Kyoto, and indeed very foreigner's friendly. He introduced us to the Japanese tradition of kimonos, and showed us some very exclusive ones, indeed a treasure and rarely to see. Then we had experienced the traditional Japanese tea ceremony - a must experience from everyone who is interested in the true tradition of Kyoto. Inspiring, meditating, relaxing. All in all, an experience that we will never forget!
