    Unforgettable experience
This is an amazing site and experience for any traveller. The air ropeway and garden access is fairly inexpensive for the astounding views it provides. The range of herbs and flowers is fairly extensive and gives an opportunity to learn and reflect in this beautiful site. Also, you can choose to hike your way down as the way up is fairly difficult to locate. I would highly recommend.

    More than just a garden
This garden was an amazing experience! The fragrances were immaculate. You could also get a great view of both the city and the garden from the ropeway. There was also a good cafe and restaurant serving food, desserts, and drinks. This is a must see!

    Excellent day trip from Osaka
An excellent few hours spent. This is a walkable distance from Sannomiya station (about 30 min from Osaka station). Wide range of beautiful flowers! If you take your time you could well spend 4 hours here. There are cafes here selling snacks too. The ropeway is a must take! Gives you great views of the garden. A hike up is possible but would be too tiring for some.

    Wicked afternoon
Great experience, here is what I recommend. Get the cable car up about 2-3pm to get the nice views. Stop for an arancini and soup at the top and a Weissbier, it’s weird getting German cuisine in Kobe but hey there are nice tables with flowers and classical music playing. Then walk down to Kobe, you will see the herb gardens, the observatories ie greenhouses and get multiple points with views across the Kobe and wider Osaka bay. By now it’ll be 4pm and you’ll be reaching golden hour. There are deck chairs at points if you want a rest and even in October, there are plenty of flowers, making for nice pictures. If you have some decent footwear and don’t mind a short downhill hike then walk past the middle cable car station, walk to the dam and then the waterfalls. It’s a bit isolated, not many people but you are walking in nature and the paths are safe and maintained. Finish by the waterfall and get the last views of sunset over Kobe about 5pm. A great afternoon

    Amazing experience!
Amazing views and lots of different flowers and herbs to look at. Underrated venue in Kobe, definitely recommend especially for the panoramic views of Kobe. Went during the end of year Christmas market and it was fun as well!

    Lovely Christmas vibe
Pleasant place to pass the afternoon. Surcharge for Christmas season. But they close early. Last cable car down at 5.15 when the sun is about to set. So not much time to enjoy the Christmas lights when it is dark.

    Relaxing space
After quite a busy start to our trip we decided to do Kobe as a day trip from Osaka, what a great way to unwind with a casual stroll through beautiful trees, plants and herbs. The amenities were amazing and we even tasted some of the treats. Well worth a visit to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities

    Beautiful Views
Gondala ride was beautiful....and the views from various places of the garden were also beautiful. If you dont want to hike to the waterfall, you can see a top view from the ride up to the mountain. If you like flowers, plants, and views type of atmosphere, we definitely recommend going here.

The view was amazing! I purchased the ticket for roundtrip ropeway on KKday and redeemed via QR code on the 4th floor of the Herb Garden. Though there was not much blooming, still had lots of things to see here and hiking options even in early March.

A lovely way to spend a sunny morning in Kobe. The trip up the rope lift gives you amazing views of the city, and these only improve as you reach the herb gardens. Wandering around the gardens and the fragrance museum is a relaxing experience (calming piano music in the background!) and you can smell lots of different essential oils. It's a delightful walk down to the glass houses and then on to the mid-station for the trip back down. Going in early march, it was clear not all plants were out yet (e.g. no roses), but I was lucky to see a couple of cherry blossoms. If the weather's right, you can have a lie down in one of the many hammocks dotted around the path.

I did look for the path to Nunobiki falls, which I'd heard are accessible from the mid-point station - but couldn't find it, unfortunately. This seems to be better sign-posted from Shinkobe station; and in any case, a waterfall is visible from the rope carriage.

Would definitely recommend!

Great experience with fun ropeway ride to the top allowing magnificent views of Kobe and out to Osaka on a clear day. Beauytiful gardens with interesting plants and herbs to see as you stroll down the hill. Beautifully landscaped. There's several eating options and places to sit down to rest including great outdoor hammocks. You can set off on a separate bushwalking trails as well. Must for any visitor to Kobe.
