The remaining parts of this steel re-enforced structure demonstrates the devastating effects of nuclear weapons and why must not be used again!

Visiting this and the sounding park gave an insight into the horror of nuclear war. We signed a petition a lady was organising to present to the UN to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

As you approach the Peace Park, the Atomic Dome stands at a corner breaking the skyline with the war-torn building and it's dome silhouetted against the morning sky. It's a stark reminder of an era of wars that is slowly receding in the memory of...More

Well worth the visit. When were were there, there were children of the survivors that had compiled unofficial and unsanitised detailed accounts and memories into books available in different languages. Everyone, should take the time to read through them for the 'real' accounts of what...More

This building is a sad reminder of what we can do to each other, it is amazing that it is still standing at all. and credit to the people of Hiroshima who maintain it.

This is a must visit if you are in Hiroshima. It's a doable walk from the main train station in Hiroshima.

Without this building which has been left every since the bomb went off and the only one I don't think people could contemplate the devastation that was caused.

A moving experience to witness this building and surrounds which are well maintained and tidy. Beautiful parks & gardens surround.

Its a very emotional moment to vist this dome which was close to the Ground Zero of the Atom Bomb ! It stands hopelessly damaged as testimony to atomic devastation caused in 1945. The area around is neatly kept & maintains tourist- interest.

A stark reminder of how cruel humanity can be. It’s hard to put into words. It’s something everyone should visit and hopefully spread the message of peace.

Don't bother with a tour. It's simple to get around on foot and you can get headphones with English translation. Inexpensive and intensely moving experience. The City of Hiroshima is beautiful and very peaceful with wide... More

It is in an open park so it is always open. The whole park has various places within it, one site being the Atomic Bomb some. the museums keep open and closing hours. Hope this helps.
