if in Hiroshima during baseball season, don't miss a visit to a Carp game. Even if you don't love baseball, the experience is priceless ... crazy Japanese baseball food, over the top fans (everyone wears a Carp shirt), the organized cheers, the ballon barrage in the 7th .... tickets can be tough to get but reasonably priced. I sat in... More

If you are really lucky and can get tickets to a Carps game, you will love this experience. The stadium is always packed with fans and the atmosphere is amazing with lots of banging and chanting.

We walked up to the ticket counter 5 hours before the game and managed to buy tickets for that nights game. The lady who sold us the tickets had limited English but used Google Translate as she seemed to know what we would ask. The fans at the game were so kind, helping us with the rituals of a Japanese... I only made it one baseball game in Japan but glad it was here. They appear to have a great fan base. Get your video cameras ready for the seventh inning stretch! Overall, compared to an american baseball game, there is almost no comparison. First major difference, as we walked to the stadium amidst a crowd of fans, I kept... More

When I was Hiroshima last week, I attended my first JBL game to watch the Hiroshima Carp play the Yokohama BayStars. I was able to get tickets at the stadium, but only seats in the visiting team's performance section were available...which was fine as I was looking to just take in the atmosphere. The game, the fans and the stadium... More

I'm not a baseball fan, but, my husband said that Japanese baseball experience is not to be missed. He was absolutely right! Everything was orderly when entering. You cannot bring in bottles and they check your bags. We walked up and passed a slew of eating kiosks and souvenir shops. The delicious smells of teriyaki barbecue and sweet baked manju... More

I arrived at the box office on the day of a pre-season game. Booth attendant had a sign that referred me to a specific game day box office. Staff at box 3 (for day of tickets) was helpful, patient and friendly. I was able to snag non-reserved upper deck tickets and enjoy a Carp Game. Would return.

I attended a Carp preseason game in March of 2016. I had a non reserved upper level seat. You can find a set and leave your bag or other items on it to reserve it and walk around the enjoy the stadium. I have visited 23 MLB stadiums and if Mazda Stadium were an MLB stadium it would be in... More

If you like to watch a game in the stadium one must be early with buying tickets. In October the Carps were playing and everyone in Hiroshima wanted to see their favorite baseball team. The atmosphere in the stadium was amazing with all the fans cheering for the Carps.

I'm not a baseball fan, (we don't do baseball in England) but going back to Hiroshima on the train from Miyajima Island we ran into hundreds of Hiroshima Carps fans and intrigued we followed them to the Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium. It's just along from the train station The Carps were playing Yokohama Bay Stars in an important play-off game (the... More
