Big park in the middle of the city. Nothing special but a place to stretch your limbs. Since it spans across few blocks of city space, walking is not continuous as you have to wait for traffic signal

I walked from end to end to enjoy the autumn leaves and hit the few highlights along the way. It was nice

The park is really nice in the evenings; lots of people; outdoor food options; good energy. Definitely worth a visit during your stay in Sapporo.

Sapporo was our 1st Stop/City of the Rugby World Cup 2019 Tour and it was great.

This Park had been truned into a massive Food & Drink Festival site, 'Free Entry', dozens of Options of foods from all over the World, though a strong emphasis on Japan, abetted by Drink options.

Pride of place was given to a Fanzone with huge Bars & a massive TV Screen showing the first couple of matches (we had Tickets to the Match in Sapporo that evening). A loud, boisterous crowd in 1st Night Party mode filled the arena.

This was probably the first incling that Locals got that there was a sea of difference between 'Footbal Fans' and 'Rugby Footbal Supporters', and boy did they get into it.

Delightful Park, made even more so by the crowds of funloving people having a blast, no matter where they came from, or why.

Visited after lunch with family.

Pros:
1) Odori Park is a must visit when in Sapporo. It is a huge and clean park with traditional snacks, restaurants, soft service ice cream, a bubble man, and shopping malls. It is also where Sapporo TV tower is located.
2) My family had a good time because we leisurely walked around the park, had ice cream and grilled sweet corn.
3) Toilet break is not a problem because of several shopping malls surrounding the park, which is always the case in Japan.
4) There are a lot of people, strolling and taking photos. Its a place to people-watch.

I couldn't think of any cons of Odori Park. It is a definitely a must-see.

In Japanese it means "Large Street", it is the heart and backbone of Hokkaido's capital. Stretching 1.5 KM from East to West, it was originally planned to serve as main street of Sapporo but then it became a famous park where iconic festivals are held annually including the famous Sapporo Snow Festival. The iconic Sapporo TV tower is located within its boundaries. Our hotel is located 10 mins from the park and our nearest station is Hosui Susukino station. The park is adjacent and has connectivity to all famous landmarks and attractions in Sapporo. It has a charming canal that flows through the whole park with cute bridges. The park built in 1869 is divided into 13 blocks that connects to each major thoroughfares in Sapporo. Sapporo TV Tower is near Block 1. Each block has their own famous landmarks, statues and attractions. Each season is celebrated here in the park with Sapporo Snow Festival during winter, Lilac festival during spring, Beer/Sports/Dance festival during Summer and Food festival during Fall. The park is also romantic and has many scenic spots for that lovely photos and videos for you and your loved ones to cherish and remember forever. So a trip in Sapporo is not complete without visiting the heart of the city.

We enjoyed viewing the many different ice sculptures and trying different foods and drinks that were offered. It was organized so that you traveled in one direction while walking around. There was also entertainment, photo ops, and souvenirs available.

A park in central Sapporo. Plenty of exits from the subway will lead you here so you cant really get lost.

Was lucky enough to be there during the Winter illumination period which makes the place more magical in the snow.

Lots of pop up stalls serving various food items to warm the soul during the cold walks while enjoying the lights.

Odori Park is at the heart of Sapporo, where the festivals like the Autumn Festival and the Winter Festival are held. The park is around one mile (1.4 km) from end to end. You can get all sorts of goodies, I like the Hokkado beer best. When not covered by snow, Odori Park is attractively green You can get a good view of the park from the TV Tower -- you can't miss it.
