I didn’t enter, but it’s a nice building to take a photography. It’s also near the other turístico places in Sapporo.

It is located near the Hokkaido University. It has an Old European style building. We can enter the building by free, however please watch out about the closing time. There is souvenir shop inside.

They show you at this place how the Japanese were influeneced by the west after the war and it is very interesting. It is a very big place and there are no taxis outside the building to go back so you can ask the reception...More

Visit historical Former Goverment Building Saporo in Spring and one would see the beautiful archictecture of this Building. The scene is complimented with the beautiful flowers in bloom. Feast one eyes with the beautifully landscaped courtyard.

It was a great place to spend some time and have a stroll. Sapporo is a place with flowers and lots of green. Didn't get to go inside though, not sure whether can. I went around 5 pm. The door was shut.

Well worth a visit - the gardens are immaculate and beautiful. The building is interesting and important in Hokkaido's history. Inside there are some displays, including one explaining the tussle between Japan and Russia over the islands off Hokkaido. Enough in English to make the...More

The architecture on the outside is nice and photo worthy... the exhibits inside however can be better. Exhibits have limited English translation so unless u are really familiar with Japan's history, it can be difficult to follow.

An old building surrounded by colorful flowers in the gardens. Just simply beautiful! We did take the opportunity to go inside for the free museum but did not spend much time in there. The colorful tulips really made this place alive when we were there...More

The building itself is not really wheelchair friendly. It is an old building with staircases. A short stroll at the garden would be good though.
