There are ten scenic spots in West Lake, but they are all about the West Lake. If you ask me if the Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake is beautiful, I will tell you that it is not a part of West Lake. In fact, I think it is better to find the most beautiful place in West Lake than to pursue the ten scenic spots. I personally prefer the Taiziwan Park and Su Causeway beside West Lake. There are fewer people and I really don't need to check in. On the contrary, it is pleasing to the eye, and I think it is more freehand.

The scene of the autumn moon on the calm Lake is located in the west end of Bai Di, which is a long and narrow garden along the lake. Right here, there are three sides facing the water, and the imperial pavilion, the water platform and other landscape are along the lake. You are in the heart of the nature, so serene and calm and tranquility.
The viewing platform extends out of the water has a wide view and is a moon-watching resort on the shore of the West Lake. It is a great place for visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Very nice!

one of the top interesting attraction of XIHu Lake. during the day you can have a great boat trip around the lake and fantastic picnic with bringing from home snack and drinks but if you like there are plenty of outlets around the lake and if you can stay until the evening you may find yourself embraced by a completely different surrounding in the night. however, I suggest bring sunglasses, sunblock and some mosquito repellent for the evening it is necessary

Please do not consider wasting your money on this. Its a boat trip where you have to pay also for attraction itself (together 55 yuen) The attraction itself are 3 small boyas or statues in the water. They are not interesting at all and even if they were, the sight is ruined by literally hundred boats around. Other things on this island were just classic chinese park like paths, just overloaded with people. Around west lake there are same or better parks free of charge and much less people there. the attraction is supposed to be most interesting at night, but last ferry from island leaves before 6pm. In lin ying temple you pay the same but you see things, unlike here. Simply said, this place is total waste of money. No, its even worse...

We have visited this scenic spot three times in April this year and found that it was more impressive at night time. Although we could not see the moon at the time of our visits but the reflection of pavilions on the calm lake was photogenic and enjoyable.
The views at daytime were completely different and you could find people strolling around the scenery which was surrounded by green willows and pink peach trees.

Cool night, sitting on the terrace viewing the moon on the lake, it's a pity, they don't offer cocktails, only local green tea and soft drinks. Seats are limited, you must be lucky enough to get seated.

I went to the West Lake with my family. We went there by train. As soon as we went to West Lake,we took a tour bus to Ping Hu Qiu Yue.I enjoyed the beautiful scenery very much and I think this is the best part of the West Lake.We fed some squirrels with peanuts. For lunch,we had some delicious local food, that was very special, different from the Beijing local food.We visit the whole part of the West Lake in the afternoon.
That was such a wonderful trip!I think a trip to Hangzhou won't be the last time!!!

The Ping Hu Qiu Yue is a nice views of the gorgeous lake. You can go on a boat ride or simply watch the gorgeous surrounding while sipping some lovely Longjing Tea.

We have visited this spot, one of the top ten tourist spots in Xihu, during late March this year. The place was still quiet and peaceful at night time but very crowded in day time when tourists rushed to the area. There were coffee houses around for visitors to relax and enjoy the nice scenery around. The whole area turned into another atmosphere at night time when the lights were lid. Recommended.
