This is the town’s “old street,” where efforts have been made to preserve the look and feel of an ancient Chinese city. However, it is overrun by tourist-trap shops that repeat endlessly. If you don’t mind the crowds, thisc is a fine place to stroll...More

Avoid as it’s uncomfortably crowded. Overpriced goods. Usual trinkets that are sold everywhere else. Popular with the locals though who come for weird foods that I otherwise avoid when traveling.

Hefang Street is a nice place to buy souvenirs. Go toward the middle area of the street, between Zhongshan Road and Wu Hill to find the shopping section.

As a pedestrian mall it's ok. A few blocks of renovated, older buildings fronting a cobblestone/tiled walking only street with nice lights to add to the ambience make for a generally pleasant evening. My only beef is with the variety of stores, or lack of....More

Vibrant. Colourful. Typical Chinese pedestrian shopping street but set in a ancient town setting. Street is wide and easy to navigate
