We decided to book a private tour to Yunnan province covering Kunming City, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La. We booked the tour with Jon Zhou who is an excellent English speaking guide, When we travelled to Dali and Shangri-La, Jon also arranged other excellent English guide to speak to us, although we actually converse well in Mandarin as well. The tour is flexible and according to our schedules, we were provided a comfortable 7-seater car driven by Mr Feng. We managed to squeeze a golf session in Lijiang despite the busy itinerary. Jon and his guides took us to some very local places and we learned a lot more of their cultures. Although it is costlier than an average package tour, i think it is money well spent. In the end, Jon also managed to cancel our train from Lijiang to Kunming as we decided to take the car back on road, travelling 6 hours comfortably. I strongly recommend Jon's services
