I thought it would be just another 'tourist' traps with stereotypical displays of various tribal cultures. Was I humbled by the experience! The setting is stunning in a huge national park, meandered through by waterways, evoking the real-life of ancient times' indigenous tribes! Plan at...More

Good views throughput the place. This is a park to visit right after lunch to have a relaxing walk and a glance of several different chinese cultures. The park has a nice chines crafts market to buy interesting souvenirs.

Good day outing to learn about this unique plural culture of Yunnan. Relatively cheap admission of Y90. Lots of walking and free shows at the villagers. Unfortunately not much directions in English. We did walk in circles many times. There are some bicycles to rent...More

Since most Chinese are Han people, most of the people you meet there are Han Chinese, which is why the Yunnan Nationalities offer such a different perspective. Beautiful clothing--highly adorned with silver-colored coins and feathers, dancing demonstrations--more quaint than fantastic, different foods, more interesting than...More

Take bus 40. It takes about 45 minutes. If in a car, go south on Beijing Lu until the end then look for signs.
