Guandu Ancient City is just across the street from Kunming Museum. The place is very big and basically very touristy and also full of locals. You get to try a lot of their street eats - no idea what's what, but everywhere was basically packed....More

In south Kunming across from new Provincial Museum. Very touristy with lots of places to shop local souvenirs and sample local and other dishes. Try the Burmese restaurant in the back for authentic, tasty Burmese fare. Some local museums, but did not visit them.

Very lively and local nice place to visit. Lots of locals go here to sing and dance as well. Lots of souvenirs, interesting buys, good food and snacks in a nice old architectural environment! Worth a visit!

Similar to the other old town in Lijiang and all. The shops all sell similar stuff. Worth a visit to visit the temples etc.
