We visited after a big day walking so probably didn’t enjoy this place as much as we could - we were starving! The building and interior is beautiful and the view of the surrounds as the sun was setting was really pretty. We just missed...More

The drum tower is near the Muslim quarter and the drums playing ever 1.5 hours or so reminds me of the movie, the Great Wall.

I’ve been to both the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower and this was my 3rd visit to each place. If you visit one, you must visit the other as they are in such close proximity. You also get a discount if you purchase both...More

We enjoyed our visit. Very central and small walk to bell tower from here. Music and drum playing performance about every 1.5 hours for 10 mins worth fitting into your schedule. Tube and bus services right beside both attractions.

Nothing much to see except the rows of the red drum.Tourists can also enjoy the musical performance in side the tower. But night view of this tower is fantastic.

Timed it just right for the performance which was less drumming but more traditional instruments. Brief 15 minute performance by half a dozen ladies in costume. Wandered about the tower looking at drum collection. Nice views towards bell tower but bit hazy for perfect view

The English information was helpful to understand what these drums were used for. Great views and the late hours were very helpful (8pm). Easy to do bell tower and Muslim quarter in same walk.

Very cool to see the drums for the 24 different times of the year. A nice place to walk around. Take note of the performance times so you can enjoy the real life drums too.

Take the combined ticket to visit both bell n drum tower. Both are close by, near subway Stn. Nice time pass in the middle of the city.

Quite an interesting place to visit. The architecture and design was quite fascinating. A great place to just walk around and enjoy. Also close to plenty of other sites within easy walking distance, so heaps to see around here. Quite busy, but didn’t stop you...More

I found my pic on Tripadvisor. The performance times are 9:10, 10:00, 11:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Be 30 minutes early as seats are very limited.

I thought I would follow this up... obviously I checked the various websites for this attraction and got contradictory information. That's why I was asking for clarification here. Anyway, I just got back from Xi'an and both... More
