Tranquil little place with few tourists and locals

If you don't know what to do with your extra time in Xi'an, this is a nice place to visit. It is free and very relaxing because there is almost no people there.

Our first time there, heard of it but never visited, finally we decided to go because we heard of the cherry blossom is amazing there. OMG the main gate is just fabulous, it's like a huge giant palace. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get up there, lol. Then we got in and the cherry blossom was... More

Not sure whether it's because we visited on a weekday, or it's just as quiet on weekends... This place is a very relaxing quiet spot about 10 mins from the subway. Monks live and meditate there, and there are a few areas which are not accessible. It's a great place to go if you want to know what Zen is... More

After spending a worthy tour of Terra Cotta Army museum, now boarding on a bus which the ticket covers both places; the bus boarding place has no direction for travelers - so I had to wander around asking for their parking lot. The park is quite a peaceful place although not much to see, but anyway this is a memory... More

Come late March / early April for the best time to see the Cherry Blossoms. The area surrounding the temple (and inside!) can get quite crowded with tourists during this time. It's a nice place to visit at any time of the year but without the cherry blossoms it's just a simple temple.

Especially Japanese visit here because Master Kuu Kai, highly respected monk has learned Bhuddism here. It would be super nice to visit here in April, there are many cherry blossom trees here. It's not that convenient to come here by local transportation. My guide book says the nearest bus stop is " Qing Long Si" by bus 6, 19, 25,... More

The best time to enjoy the flowers on a spring outing is by the end of March to early April. Qinglong Si is a very nice place, the entrance fee is CNY16 net per person during 2014.

We follow the Guide Book to see Cherry Blossom in May, went there on May 27th and it was too late. No Cherry Blossom there, better to check first. The temple itself is simple, if no Cherry Blossom, not worth to visit except you have plenty of time to spend in Xian.
