This island hotel is worth the steps needed to reach the resort. On the Yangshou end of the Li River cruise this property lies on the eastern side of the river, making it necessary to ferry across the river and be driven by hotel staff to the property. Hotel is sparklingly clean, with soltitude, fablous views of mountains and riverways... More

The long wait in the queue with disgusting & loud crowd was finally rewarded with spectacular view from even on the lift. The sights of the famous Guilin karst were just mesmerizing. The museum at the end of the ride was a plus, though no one really paid attention to the guide. However, the labyrinth of shops & vendors that... More

This is well worth the money - if you do it the smart way.. which is to say get a taxi (about 20 kuai from the city centre) or get the bus (number 13 I think.. about 2 kuai!) to Yaoshan dispense with a tour guide and just 'pay on the door'! It's 100 yuan or so for the chairlift... More

It was a sunny day with few clouds, saw the mountain which they said resembled a sleeping buddha looking up the heavens....great experience, they hv souvenir shops when going down, maybe it took us around 25 mins to go up and another 25mins to go down via the sky cable.

One of our itinerary with Wendy's Tour was to Yaoshan Mountain. We didn't had to queue for ticket or fork out any our of pocket money as everything was inclusive in Wendy's Tour. Arrived at about 11:30am as planned by Lily from Wendy's Tour, we were met with a lesser crowd. Kudus to Lily for their tour experience. The 'cable-chair'... More

It's not covered cable car but an open chair lift. Only a metal bar to prevent you from slipping off your seat. The time we went, it was raining awhile ago so the chairlift shelter had rusty water dripping onto my head and pants non-stop. It was so foggy when we went up the mountain but when we descended you... More

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too great on the time we went and the fog covered some of the views. Make sure you go on a clear day!

Visited Yaoshan Mountain in December and the weather was foggy and rain drizzled all the time, that's why the track going down was closed, used just cable car for both ways. I didn't have enough time, use the tourist center in my hotel to go there. The girl in the hotel asked 170 RMB per person and 100 RMB for... More
