It seemed like much of the area at the top was closed for maintenance so we enjoyed the gondola ride more than the actual mountain. The views at the top are very good and you can see the city and many of the mountain formations from the top.

The gondola costs 55 one way or 110 round trip. We took the round trip because the hike to the top looked steep and undermaintained.

This was total robbery. We had to pay 200 Rmb to go up the mountan and once on top could see nothing due to thick miss. The ticket office should not have sold the tickets due to no vissibilty and safety reasons , previous mountains where we experienced simular conditions did this , but here they just want your money.
The facilities is not well maintained and the Toboggan was not in use , the weeds is starting to over grow it. Thi place is not wotrth visiting there are much better mountains in Yangshuo to visit.

Took a cable car both ways as it was very hot. The cable car ride is nice but other than that we didnt find the mountain top interesting . Some views are nice , so if one has nothing else to do and has time this can be visited as we did

Recommended to leave early. There is a long ropeway to the top with open seats that give the chills both because of altitude and weather.
A wide array of karst mountains with smokey clouds make up the view from top.
Its worthwile to go there just for that view

We cruised, along with hundreds of others in dozens of boats, down the exquisite Li River to the city of Yangshuo. After a pleasant walk down West Street and purchasing a few fine objects we traveled to the outskirts, where the Mountain Retreat is located. The setting is simply stunning, enhanced by an escape from the crowds in the town and at most major tourist sites in China these days. It would be easy to spend a few days here, hiking or gliding down the Dragon River, on whose banks the Retreat is built. The hotel itself is a bit rustic, but very friendly and comfortable. The food is excellent, as is the staff. Highly recommended.

Go early in the morning, when the crowds are not there, and the air is fresh and crisp. The Yaoshan Mountain scenery is straight out of a Chinese landscape ink painting. The floating white clouds shrouding the dark grey Yao mountains - it's both mystical and awe-inspiring.
Our guide told us you could make out the figure of a reclining Buddha from afar. However, we were just happy to feast our eyes on the beautiful landscape and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the moment.

Truly an amazing view - just like the picture! We took the tram up and walked down - and of course walked up and down to many of the peaks. You need to be able to navigate stairs and not be intimidated by heights - but you are rewarded with beautiful views! peaceful and majestic.

Guilin has limestone hills that are simply prehistoric and the view afforded as you travel through and around them is awesome!
