The staffs are rude. Kids ran around happy here. If not for this, this bad smelling place would be a total disaster. You have to get here mid afternoon, that is the best time to visit.

The place is mismanaged. The water looked like better irrigation is lacking. The water smell is horrendous. It could have been great.

You should catch a cab here as public transportation is very bad. The place itself has bad smelly water. This wetland is not good to visit.

The wetlands are a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary for birds and water-life. The park is well-maintained, clean, and on our walk we found the air to be refreshing. Totally enjoyable visit.

Visit tot the Nansha Wetland park was just okay. The place is huge and you are really in nature but not much to see. Water does not really seem clean as such, but a nice getaway from Guangzhou.

This small wetland park has a nice wooden walkway with lots of lotuses and goldfish. Both admission and the boat ride are expensive. Not a must in Nansha.

The park is easier to access by car from Guangzhou, where we negotiated a deal with a taxi for the day at 1,000 RMB & shared the price between four of us and also went to the Sunflower Garden, making it more comfortable. The drive took us an hour and twenty minutes one way. While it was in Chinese New Year we arrived at opening time at the Wetlands Reserve and beat the major crowds! We started with a boat cruise around the wetlands, which was tranquil, and while we didn't see a large number of bird life but we saw enough . At the end of the cruise we took a little mini battery operated bus to the Pearl River end of the park at 10 RMB per person and the tree lined road, gardens and views were beautiful. A special environment!

The place is at the southern border of guangzhou and getting there is a bit tricky. We took line 4 to Jiaomen station and then continued with bus 23 to the final destination. It took as roughly 50 minutes and the bus was crowded to the last place, so standing during the whole trip is likely and this accounts for the underground as well. There is the flower market and the bird reservoir, which are both well liked sightseeings, on the way which are worthy looking at. Finally arriving at the final destination ones can see the fishmarket with a vast variety of fresh, shortly before catched seafood. You can choose the food you like the restaurant to cook for you from there and give it to the waiter so they will ask the chefs to cook it for you or you can order from the menu the restaurants offer. It seems that several boats open to pbulic leave from the peers to diverse destinations. This place lies between two islands seperated by a smal riverbed. We did not mention to go further down the road soutwards but it seemed that the sea is not so far from here. Wheter swimming is possible or allowed I can't tell but the main harbour entities are located to the shores and so I would conclude that it might not be possible. Neverltheless it is a well appreciated change from the city especially the combination of a fresh warm wind, clear waters and fresh air in an relaxed atmosphere without the hectic car traffic and great seafood. Due to the long journey there I would recommend to try and book a hotel in one of the small towns of the bus route as they also made a nice impression. Little water roads were crossing and it reminded me a bit of Fort Lauderdale in the past when those roads were still present there.

The park was quite small and the guides told me that they were expanding and there would be an area with more attractions. Great boat ride and guides, informative trip but honestly nothing exceptional. Good to come around if you're in the area, quite some birds.

Difficult to access, bus from jiaomen metro station. Make sure you book your boat trip when entering the park, in summer it's very busy you have to call them to book the boat trip otherwise you might not get a seat. You can rent bikes at the entrance which i strongly recommend because around the mangroves it's not very interesting to walk. You can buy snacks inside the park but no real meal. No taxi to get back in town, the bus is crowded (about 1 hour to jiaomen station) it's a nice park to visit if you're around nansha but not that exceptional
