Doctor Sun Yat-sen is Guangzhou's most honoured man and hero. The statue nicely depicts the mental image i have of the man.

I was at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial again, with some friends visiting town. We walked pass the iconic statue and took some pics. It was nice to see this again.

Doctor Sun Yat-sen is Guangzhou most honoured and distinguished citizen. He lived to lead the creation of what has become a great country of the people. This statue, many other statues in the city, a memorial hall, the biggest university in GZ, and many more places have been named in his honour.

Well if you are visiting the Sun Yat Sen Memorial you simply cannot miss seeing this statue. Not much to do though, except to read about it and take a few pics. The surrounding park is quite nice.

This is located in Sun Yat-Sen memorial. Nice daze very life like. Impressive. Busy with people taking pictures.

this place is very wide and colorful, it's full with flowers cuz we visited during spring festival so i advise u to xo the same, take a selfie with the statue and with the flowers

I found it worth stopping by this neat park and Chinese style hall commemorating Dr Sun Yat-sen who unlike other historical figures in China like the infamous Mao Tse-tung or Zhou Enlai are much less known in the West. So if you don't mind a little history lesson and if you are in the neighborhood, do consider a visit. As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to take the explanations from your smartphone, unless your Chinese reading skills are really great.

I am after this place by accident, I think this place is ordinary, nothing special, but it's easy to find this place, and enter the park and the museum is free, don't need tickets, and near the transportation is convenient, it is good. Every Chinese knows that sun yat-sen, so this place has its special meaning, you can learn a lot in the memorial sun yat-sen's life and history, recorded stories about him. It is worth mentioning the local park and garden planning is very good, very beautiful, is a good place to taking a picture, is also a more civilized place. A bronze statue of sun yat-sen, is also very big, the scenery is very beautiful, many local residents will play there, children will be here in the square to play badminton, local residents are very friendly, when you have a problem, most of them are very happy to help you.

Take a photo of (or with) Dr. Sun Yat-sen while you are visiting Memorial Hall -- there is no cost to get into the park that surrounds memorial hall; these is a 10 RMB ticket to get into the Memorial Hall.
