I find the best part of the island is the large park with lots of greenery and flowers all year long. In the summer months, it can be too hot and humid for daytime walks. Most will begin to come out after 8:00 pm, and then it often will be very crowded.

The Ersha Island is quite a nice place to explore and for a picnic. There are a few places to eat although its mostly residential. The park is really nice to walk around.

We took a didi taxi to the island. Our leisurely walk-around, mostly along the outer perimeter by the water, was enjoyable. I stopped and had a tour of the concert hall, and had a long walk through the large park area.

I love to walk around the Er'sha Island as it has a really nice central park which has beautiful flowers. On a Sunday morning, you will often see people having a picnic with kids. Its such a nice experience.

Recommend to rent a bike anywhere in the city but the nearest metro station would be Liede or Zhujiang New town and you can spend a whole afternoon exploring the island and it’s parks. Also there’s the Xinghai concert Hall with a varied cultural timetable.

This is a lovely island basically in the heart of Guangzhou city. It’s easily reachable by bus, a walk but is probably best by bike. The island is surrounded by the main river running through Guangzhou but given its location it’s remarkably clean, well kept and green.

There are big park areas with amenities in the middle of the usuals which are popular for picnics in the weekend. There is an opera house and art gallery which are worth a look nearby as well as some sports facilities such as tennis courts and football pitches.

On both sides of the island you can walk or cycle along the river with nice views and generally the island is covered with well kept gardens and is not too crowded or busy - it has a laid back feel given not so many people live there. It seems most buildings are govt, function centres or big villas for rich locals.

At the east end of the island you can walk across to the walking street and mall of the world. This area also has the newer opera house, museum and great views of the Guangzhou tower.

The Er'sha island is a nice island sort of in the middle of the Pearl River. The island has a few tourist attractions, the large park in the middle has a lot of beautiful flowers and is packed with people over the weekends. We often go there for walks and to enjoy a different part of Guangzhou.

Just next to the main city, but a very relaxing area, many large colonial style Vilas, large green park areas, very popular for sports, families and weekend fun. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The place is between Tianhe and Haizuh districts on an island in the middle of the river. The musical hall and a museum are located here with exceptional designed architecture. The parks are neetly arranged and playground for the small and adults adjoin to each other. Along the river a promenade invites for a nice walk enjoying opposites' Haizhu's skyline. The arts venues make the place interesting and the plays being performed are of an international background so cultural highly interesting for locals and expats the same.
