I went with my girlfriend and we made the mistake of not researching, not properly looking into what this show actually consists of beforehand. We were much too occupied with all the gleaming accounts of acrobats and the incredible death-defying performers to realise before giving these sociopaths $150 of our dollars that Chimelong International Circus is one of the cruelest businesses out there. There is so little regard for animal welfare it’s sickening. The signs were all there, with decrepit plastic life-size giraffe figures out the front and cute and cuddly tiger mascots; this is Hell on earth for their animal performers and likewise for anyone with any shred of human decency. I recommend this sight for any tourists who want to leave the building feeling like a murderer and have their entire trip soured in memory forever. If you are reading this then you have done the right thing to look into this performance before going. Save yourself the guilt (and the resulting $150 donation to WWF), DO NOT GO!!!!!!

You have to watch this show if you have the time and budget. It's quite expensive but worth it

You can watch improvised circus that i think China always the best and pioneer. There's a shuttle bus to go to this show from the zoo because it's quite far.just follow the crowd

My family and I decided to have our Christmas holiday in chimelong hotel. We have booked for a variety of activities. And of course, my favourite event is the circus. At first, a few clowns came out and welcomed us. Then, different kind of animals, such as, bear, lion, tiger came out and show us their amazing skills. After that, the performers showed up and brought us an incredible experience. The most unbelievable part is around 4 to 5 people were riding motorcycle inside a case. I really have no idea how can they do that. It was absolutely crazy and really cool. What a fantastic show!

We went here with some colleagues and enjoyed the show. The number and variety of animals is a big surprise and it is a pretty good venue. There are lots of performers and acts as well to keep any audience member entertained. This is not at the level of a Cirque Du Soleil act as many will suggest. Regular seating is a free for all so arrive early. Closest metro station is Hanxi Changlong.

The theatre is practicing social distancing and asking patrons to keep their masks on and have alternating seats for couples.

Very entertaining performance! Animals were involved in short parades across the stage and alley in between performances, not much involved in acts or main show. A wide genre of acts by an international troupe. We booked the tickets through Klook and collected the physical tickets from the self-service machine on site before the show. No queues at all.

Excellent performances although I personally prefer Shanghai’s ERA Intersection of Time. Shanghai’s has a live band and the compound is smaller and more intimate so one feels more absorbed into the performance. Chimelong has animals in the circus. Taxi ride from Guangzhou cost around 70 yuan.

A traditional circus with acrobats, animals etc. meeting lasers and technology and resulting in an explosion of magic for kids and adults. Best show of this type I've ever seen

I've been staying here on many occasions and gave very positive reviews about this hotel on other review sites however not this trip. I need to bring urgent attention to the top Management because the manager or supervisor could not stop kitchen employees from slamming the kitchen door despite my complaint. Imagine having to endure the loud thunderous bang sound every 20 or 30 seconds. It is ridiculous no one was able to tell these arrogant kitchen staff who couldn't give a toss about all the upset customers. In fact I could see the kitchen staff even challenged the supervisor and slammed the door harder after being told off.
