We used it one way to the Mashuk because some visitors recommended to walk way back .
I wish we got Cable car return because the road way back was covered by wet snow and 5.2 km walk took us approx. 2 hours .
Definitely worth going up Mashuk, if the weather is good. I was told it is possible to see Elbrus on a good day. (Europe's highest mountain)
500m above Pyatigorsk, with a path around the summit, allows views in all directions.
