About
An intriguing array of over 500 Russian icons spanning four centuries is a highlight of this museum that also features Russian art from the 18th to 20th centuries and a small foreign art collection.

Big museum with a lot to see and a range of historical works. The contemporary section is worth a visit for sure.

Really unless you are hiding from the cold or have hours to kill then give this place a miss. The Russian stuff never captured my imagination for a minute. The modern stuff only marginally. Some of the photograph exhibits were better quality.

Nothing special in itself; however, very interesting "guest" exhibitions are held regularly.

Plenty to see and a good collection of Russian art of many periods. The modern art is as missable as any where else, but there's plenty to see for a couple of hours.
